“Nerdy Birdy Tweets” is a wonderful children’s book written by Aaron Reynolds and pictures by Matt Davies. Nerdy Birdy and Vulture don’t like the same things but they are best friends. They like making fun of each other, making silly faces and taking goofy pictures of each other. One day Nerdy Birdy found a new game called tweetster. Nerdy Birdy had lots of new friends on tweetster. Vulture wasn’t happy that Nerdy Birdy was just looking at his screen. Nerdy Birdy didn’t even notice that Vulture left. The next day Vulture joined Tweetster too. At lunchtime they the same things as usual. Vulture saw the tweet that Nerdy Birdy posted. Vulture asked Nerdy Birdy why did he post that. Nerdy Birdy thought it was funny. Vulture was mad at Nerdy Birdy so he flew away. Nerdy Birdy waited at their favourite telephone wire. A week later Vulture never showed up. He tweeted my best friend is mad at me. What do I do? He waited and finally, three people replied. The tweets back to him weren’t helpful at all. Nerdy Birdy flew high and low. He flew across town and over fields. Until he finally found Vulture. Nerdy Birdy said that he was sorry. Vulture said that they were friends again. Nerdy Birdy said that Vulture is worth one thousand tweester friends. They became friends again.
The meaning is that real friends are more important than random friends on the internet. This book is great for any age.
