Morris Micklewhite and The Tangerine Dress

Morris Micklewhite and The Tangerine Dress is a great children’s book written by Christine Baldacchino and illustrated by Isabelle Malenfant. The theme of the book is to stand up for yourself. Morris loves to dress up in his tangerine dress. The tangerine dress reminds him of tigers, the Sun and his mom’s hair. People at his school bully him because he is a boy and he wears a dress. Some kids won’t let him in there spaceship and other kids don’t want to sit with him at snack time. The next day he felt sick and didn’t want to go to school. So he stayed home. He had a dream of him going on a space adventure with his cat. Morris paints a great picture oh what happened in his dream. The other kids didn’t let him come in there spaceship so he built his own and put the picture of the tangerine dress. They asked if there are elephants and tigers in space. Morris said if you follow me we might be able to find out. They explored a planet and had a lot of fun. They decided that it didn’t matter if boys wore dresses or not.

In conclusion, Morris Mickclewhite and the tangerine dress teaches you to accept other peoples differences.
